Deja vu. Is the feeling that one has lived through the present situation before !!! So I say welcome to all my deja vu friends. I might start a campaign against the deja vu feeling. You will have rules to follow to become a member. Do not tidy your cupboards again Do not sort out the garage. Do not start baking banana bread Do not paint the shed These small steps are just the start of riding yourself of the deja vu feeling. The only exceptions to the rules are Drinking wine Eating chocolate Laughing (you may need to follow Joe Wicks exercises on YouTube to achieve this, not doing them just watching) PS if you do take part in online exercise there are also some good YouTube videos on how to become a chiropractor) The big plus this time is the vaccine, for which we are all truly thankful, we didn’t have this at the beginning of the year. So, while we are all looking for a top that has sleeves that we can roll up to the top of our arm, let’s remember that we can do this because we’ve done it before. Is that deja vu? Keep safe, take care Love Sue xx

Chat from Me — August 2018
What can I say about the July Coffee morning! An outstanding performance from Lydia, Chris and Debbie, who sang songs from various musicals. They had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up, especially with their rendition of ‘I Know Him So Well’. They were young, professional and very talented and deserved the standing ovation they received. Anyone who missed this treat might get lucky as we have invited them back in December. So watch this space!
The raffle was organised by the Bridge club and raised £100 for Alzheimer’s research, this was a fantastic result.
August Coffee Morning’s entertainment is a guest speaker from Arthur Price, see you there on the 16th.
A reminder that September 20th 2018 Coffee Morning, is AGM. Please come along and support the club.
We need a volunteer to step up to take over the Coffee Morning notice board, please.

It’s a friendly chatty atmosphere with a few games of bowls thrown in.

From the Chair- February 2018
Morning, firstly can I say thank you to Clive for organising the, ‘rackets’, night out, (tennis,
badminton and table tennis). It was well attended, well organised, good food and a good
night out, hopefully I was well enough behaved to be invited again next year.
The January coffee Morning was most enjoyable and informative with Joan Lockley from the hedgehog rescue. We got to meet Freddie who I had a cuddle with, he didn’t have fleas and wasn’t as spiky as I imagined. Just for the record Freddy wasn’t a Phoenix member, he was the most adorable hedgehog.
This months entertainment at Coffee Morning is ‘Kate’s party’. If you’ve never been to the
coffee mornings they are the third Thursday of every month at Lea Hall at 10am.
See you there—Elaine
