Firstly, on behalf of the committee we feel we must apologise to anyone who was offended by the entertainment at the March coffee morning. Unfortunately, we do not get to give the ‘acts’ a trial run. Nevertheless, we will bounce back with Lydia and friends singing love songs at the April coffee morning. On a brighter note the line dancing group raised £63.78 for Birmingham children’s hospital, a place close to my heart as my youngest daughter is a nurse there.
Thank you to everyone for donating prizes for the raffle and purchasing raffle tickets so far Phoenix have raised a total of £1182.83 for charities of your choice, and with your generous help we will continue to do so. We have listened to your requests for guest speakers at the coffee mornings and this will be sorted out for May.
Remember the photographs for the photographic competition need to be in by May 16th Coffee Morning and the winners will be announced at the June coffee morning. So get clicking.
There will be a music quiz on Saturday 1st June at Sheepfair, tickets £2.50 nibbles included, bring your own liquid refreshment.
Apologies, I would have liked to attend and support, but I will be away.—Elaine
