Chat from Me- December 2018

December is upon is and the festivities have started. my tree is up, smaller than usual this year, (puppy proof). I’m hoping for snow as I’d like to take my granddaughter sledging, as she’s never been.

Thank you to everyone who came to the ‘rackets’, Christmas meal, it was very pleasant night at the Crown, good food and good company.

Thursday 20th December, don’t forget festive coffee Morning this month, with the return of Lydia and her friends to sing for us. Coffee and mince pies and if you want to decorate your table or yourself we have prizes for the best ones. Last month’s Coffee Morning was very interesting, ‘The Shadows story’, with Chris who not only played hits by the Shadows on his guitar but told their story which he had first hand from knowing them.

The raffle was run by Knit & Natter and raised £62.50 for the First Responders.

Another festive date for your diary is Saturday 22nd December, Sandra’s Christmas singalong at Sheepfair, tickets £4 includes wine, nibble and a present from Santa. If you haven’t already got your ticket you can buy one at Coffee Morning.

Best Christmas Wishes

Elaine
