We are looking at ways to keep in touch with each other!-
These are Sue Breen’s thoughts as an isolated Phoenix member!
The Thoughts of an Isolator
Today’s todo list
Shave legs – The forestry commission will be proud of me.
Pluck eyebrows – First I’ve got to find them🤣 (Does that count as another job?)
Sort out knicker draw – sort in colour and size, grey is the in colour at the moment so those old white ones are now in fashion. (Could be keepers)
Clean oven – This thankfully was just a passing thought Phew it’s passed
Learn a language- My husband says I’m doing really well at this, he reckons I’m using words he’s never heard before🤣
The most important thoughts of the day have got to be :
What can I eat next
How long until lunchtime
I’m really looking forward to dinner tonight
Surely it’s got to be ok to open a bottle of wine at 6 o’clock.
Love Sue x
I am also going to be producing the Newsletter, as usual, I am looking for items for the pages.

Phoenix Inter-Group Quiz
Rugeley Phoenix Club flew the flag at an inter-group quiz last week, with
a team of four competing at Gnosall against other Phoenix clubs in our
federation. Last year ‘Tom’s Angels’ brought home the winner’s trophy,
this time it went elsewhere, but it was still a good afternoon with some
delicious homemade cakes at the interval. As a newcomer to the team,
and actually the quiz itself, I was very impressed with how well
everything was organised to make the event run so seamlessly and
smoothly. There had obviously been weeks if not months of preparation
and checking and it paid off. Thanks to fellow team-mates Jennie and
Tom Lee and Moira Montero, I really enjoyed being part of it.

The Art group held their annual Art Exhibition at Sheepfair on Saturday June 15th 2019. We are very fortunate to have some Phoenix members who are also brilliant artists. They presented a wide rage of art styles, media and subjects. It was great to have so many visitors on the day, even though the weather was grim! It was lovely to have so many people come and support the event,

The king and I (11th December) is sold out.
Only 13 people have expressed an interest in Les Misérables in Birmingham next July. We appreciate that it seems a long way off, but the theatre needs to be paid by August 4th this year. In order to keep travel costs down we must fill a 26-seater coach, so unless more people come forward, regretfully we shall have to cancel this trip.
We are looking at new shows for next year. Please let us know if there is anything that interests you.
