Music Group

Yet another Year over to use the old cliché ‘Doesn’t time fly’!!’
Commencing this New Year 2018, the Phoenix Music Group will be
practising Old Time Musical songs, in preparation for a concert at
ST Paul’s Methodist/United Reformed Church Rugeley later this
year, proceeds of which go to the church and their charities. Last
years concert had an audience of around 80 who had a great
evening joining in with the singing.
Last November we led the Children’s Christmas lantern parade/
Service in the Market Square, Rugeley with Christmas carols
starting the build-up to Christmas.
In December we sang a mixture of carols & Christmas songs at
Sandra’s Sing a-long Phoenix party. Despite the severe winter
weather conditions those who managed to get there had a very
enjoyable, fun evening.
Our group has three new members join us recently, if you feel like
having a go at singing with us then you will be most welcome to join
us at Sheepfair Thursday mornings 10am—12noon.
Thanks to all the Music group for their hard work & support last
year and we wish all of the Phoenix members A Happy New Year.

The Phoenix music group is a lively get-together on Thursday mornings (apart from  the third Thursday in the month) at Sheepfair Community Centre.
The third Thursday is reserved for Coffee Morning at Lea Hall Social Club.

If you enjoy a sing-song, can play an instrument, or just want to listen, come and join us.  You don’t have to audition or be able to read music.   We cover a wide variety of songs and are always willing to do something new.  Come and try it!   We promise you a warm welcome and a cuppa.  Earplugs optional!
